Objectives
The objectives of the Diversity Council are:
- Coordinate programs and activities that enhance employment
of personnel in Special Emphasis Programs within the Federal
work place.
- Improve and promote training of Special Emphasis Program
managers to ensure that incumbents will be effective when
working with management and the workforce within their
respective Federal agencies.
- Serve as an informal liaison and provide training that
enhances cultural awareness and provides career development
opportunities for Federal employees.
- Sponsor, support, and assist Federal employees with
programs pertaining to employment, advancement and education
of a diversified workforce and enhance workforce productivity
in keeping with the missions of the various agencies.
- Serve as the Federal agency's liaison to Hawaii communities
for furthering equal employment opportunities.
- Provide to the FEB Policy Committee, program goals,
objectives and annually provide a summary of the Council's
achievements for review.
- Serve as a networking and sharing resource to communicate
and exchange information about programs and activities
that enhance opportunities for all employees on Special
Emphasis Programs within agencies.
